If you do not live in Southwark, you must complete the admission application for the borough in which you live even if you'd like to apply for a school in Southwark. They request this information using a supplementary information form SIF. The school will use the information you provide by comparing it against their published admissions criteria. For example, a faith school will require evidence of church attendance. You must complete a SIF if the school you have listed as one of your preferences requires this.
The SIF will be available from the school and must be completed, signed and returned directly to the school. Please check the individual deadline date for returning the SIF with each school.

Where a SIF is required alongside an admission application, your application may be invalid or your chances of a place reduced unless both have been completed, signed and received at the correct addresses by the closing dates for each. You must ensure that the online application is fully completed and that all details are entered correctly.
It can happen that twins or triplets in this situation will be allocated to different schools. To avoid this you might consider making an application for just one school for all your multiples, using social and medical grounds to argue that this is the only suitable school. It is best to seek advice from your LA admissions service in this case.

The Education Authority EA manages the procedures for the enrolment of children in pre-school age years , primary school age years and post primary school age years. Please note that the following guidance does not relate to children with a Statement of Special Educational Needs as their admission to school is dealt with in a separate process. If you wish your child to attend a preparatory department of a grammar school or an independent school, you should apply to the school for admission. Each year staff assist parents and schools in enrolling approximately 70, children into various types of educational settings within the age ranges.
It is the responsibility of Boards of Governors in each school or the Management Committee in each Voluntary or Private Playgroup to draw up their admissions criteria.
How do I accept the offer of a place ?
Where pre-schools or schools are oversubscribed, Boards of Governors or the Management Committee must select children for admission by applying their published admissions criteria. EA Staff are available to provide advice to parents in relation to enrolment procedures and where applicable the appeals procedure which exists where a child is not admitted into the school their parent has chosen.
